The Ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee has Given me more of a Desire for God's Word and to Experience Christ, Rory Corrigan

Praise the Lord! My name is Rory Corrigan and I am from Lakewood, California. I would like to share a little about my experience of the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. In particular, there are two aspects of their ministry that really impress me. One aspect is their emphasis on the Bible and another on their focus on the experience of Christ subjectively.

The ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee is centered on the pure revelation that they have received from the Lord through their labor in studying the Word of God. I really appreciate that whenever I read their ministry, it is filled with references from the Bible, anything of their writings they have received through much studying of the Word of God. I appreciate that in their writings, these two do not just speak about certain ideas or concepts or even opinions but what they speak is only what has been revealed to them through the Word of God. Because of this, I have a deeper appreciation and love for God's Word. The ministry of these two has really given me more of an appetite to read God's Word than I ever have had before.

A second aspect of the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee that has really impressed me is its focus on the experience of Christ. These two do no focus their ministry on doctrines or teachings but on the enjoyment of Christ. Through their ministry, I have seen that our God is not a God that is so far away from us. Our God is a God who lives in us as Galatians 2:20 speaks, and also wants to make His home in our hearts as Ephesians 3:17 reveals. Their ministry has given me a desire to know this Christ, experience Him and enjoy Him.
